Acceptance

Acceptance is a way of merging with the flow and truth of life.

We are beings with partial free-will. We hold a personal responsibility to balance when to assert our will and when to surrender it. For both can be the same thing when in the flow of life.

Acceptance. It asks us to accept what is. To accept responsibility for our own actions, and understand that anything beyond that is outside of our control. Accept that life has its own movement and we are simply a part of that larger movement. We do what we can and we surrender the rest. Accept what will come and take responsibility for it. Accept our vulnerability as a part of our strength.

Finding acceptance of our selves, each other, and of life can be hard. Oftentimes we want everything to be clear, quick, and defined. We want certainty and we want all of the steps planned out. We want the ending without the process. We want to progress without the challenge. We want the answers without the lessons. We reject the possibility of being wrong, of not knowing, of things turning out differently than what we expect. These control mechanisms are born out of fear. Believing that one cannot be strong enough to prevail over life’s challenges and whatever comes its way.

When we build our beliefs on an expectation, it can be hard to admit the Truth and accept how we really feel. Building our beliefs on expectations is a form of self-preservation that keeps us locked and blocked. Therefor it can be challenging to discern what are the program controls we create for ourselves that maintain certain illusions, and what are the True desires we hold within our souls. Knowing when to surrender those illusions and controls can be difficult if we are unable to see them for what they really are. However when we build on our beliefs not on expectations, but on Truths, we are better able to accept and navigate the changing seas of life. It is in the whispers of our soul, the gut knowings, the intuitive hunches that aim to show us what is True and what is not. And it is up to us to decide if we choose to listen to it. To accept the Truth and allow it to guide us. If we can, we can accept the greater forces and movements of nature. We can accept what we can control and what we cannot. We can accept the challenges that come our way. We can accept not knowing. And we can accept the unfolding journey of our life.
