Spiritual Values

Truth. Honesty. Respect. Understanding. These are core spiritual values in which all others are founded upon. We cannot realize True love or compassion or peace without a foundation of Truth, honesty, respect, and understanding in our everyday interactions.

The values in which we build our selves, lives, relationships, and even our societal systems and institutions, are the foundational building blocks of its creation. Values direct who we are and how we live. They inform our perspectives and everyday thoughts, behaviors, and inclinations. They drive our everyday life experiences and how they take shape. Values are the underpinning of all that we are and all that we create.

If an individual can gain consciousness and a higher perspective of what they Truly value—beyond what was spoon-fed to them from family and society, or what was born out fear and the past—than they can realize their guiding light. They can hold themselves accountable to what is right. And they can endeavor to steer the direction of their life from a place of honesty and Truth. Working towards fulfilling their own self-realization and purpose in life. Instead of looking externally to what is commonly accepted or available. Living a life founded on values you do not Truly believe in will not lead to a life that is Truly yours, nor one that you feel good about. But living life according to what you Truly value, will.

Everyday, we are creating. Even in our everyday interactions and decisions. Our life becomes the culmination of these seemingly small, everyday choices. And through it all, in the end, we must be able to feel good about it. To say we have lived a good and meaningful life. Ultimately, it is not in the glory or the fame or the money that will make us feel good about our life, but in how we treat ourselves and how we treat each other. The memories and feelings of those interactions that felt True and meaningful. The exchanges where we felt Truly seen, understood, and loved for who we are and how we did the same for others. The diverse life experiences that challenged us and helped us learn to become more fully and honestly ourselves. The ways in which we interacted, created, and were present in our life, is what we will remember in the end.

When we do things in a way that is honorable, just, right, and True, we set ourselves free. We cannot resort to the lowest common denominator, instead, we must raise the bar for how we interact in the world. It is not enough to tell and expect people to do what is right. Instead, we must actually believe it is in our best interest to do what is right for ourselves and each other. To express ourselves honestly and create Truthfuly. We can believe that things can be different, and that we are capable if only we extend to ourselves and each other more honesty, respect, and understanding. We can surrender our hard expectations and instead value mutual understanding and respect. In doing so, we can realize a lot more progress and success. And just by living by these core spiritual values of Truth, honesty, respect, and understanding in our everyday choices and exchanges, we are able to change and grow together for the better.
